Customer called and reported that the air in the shop was not cooling properly. Upon inspection, we found significant air leakage at the supply plenum, which was causing loss of airflow and reduced cooling performance. We also found that the system only had one return, and the existing return air setup was inadequate for the size of the unit. We recommended increasing the return airflow and sealing the supply plenum to improve system efficiency and reduce air loss.
We scheduled a return visit to complete the recommended repairs and modifications. During the follow-up visit, we installed a new return grill, replaced sections of ductwork, and added an additional return duct to improve airflow throughout the system. After completing the work, the system was operating more efficiently with improved airflow and cooling performance.
