We called Mr. L. to see if he was ready to schedule his 2 system AC checkup for the season. He was and scheduled with us that next week. Upon arrival, we found that his older system was low on R22 refrigerant which unfortunately is quite a costly repair. We gave him his options for this system and he will call us when he has made a decision. On his second system, everything looked good but his capacitor was running a little weak. Mrs. G. called with concerns that her 8 year old system wasn't heating correctly. When we arrived and diagnosed the system, everything seemed to be working great. It seemed that the heat pump was in defrost mode due to the cold temps and was completely normal. Remember, when the temperature is below 32 degrees, make sure that your heat pump is running in AUX or Emergency heat to prevent the outside unit from freezing up!
